James E. Keenan, CFA, Managing Director, is Chief Investment Officer and Co-Head of Global Credit within BlackRock Alternative Investors (BAI), and Chairman and interim Chief Executive Officer of the BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation.
Mr. Keenan has led BlackRock's Global Credit platform since 2006, overseeing investment strategy, processes, performance, risk management, platform strategic planning and growth initiatives, and partnerships with BlackRock's distribution channels. Under Mr. Keenan's leadership, the platform has significantly expanded to offer clients a full range of investment strategies and solutions in leveraged finance, hedge fund and liquid alternative strategies, and private credit opportunities in middle market direct lending, opportunistic credit, and specialty finance. Since 2004, he has managed investment portfolios at BlackRock across a range of strategies including high yield credit, opportunistic and distressed lending, and long/short hedge funds.
Mr. Keenan serves on BlackRock's Global Operating Committee, the Executive Committees of BlackRock Alternative Investors and Global Fixed Income, Investment Committees for BlackRock Private Equity Partners and BlackRock Alternative Solutions Group, and BlackRock's Infrastructure Debt Management Committee.
Mr. Keenan began his career in credit research and trading with UBS Global Asset Management and Columbia Management Group. He earned a BBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1998. He is a member of Notre Dame's Wall Street Committee, its Athletic Advisory Council, and the Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Services, a service and advocacy partnership in New York City.

Prior to accepting his new role, Mr. Pungello was Co-Head of BlackRock’s Global Alternative Operations team supporting a variety of alternative investment products, including hedge funds, private equity funds, hedge fund of funds, and real estate equity and debt funds. Mr. Pungello joined BlackRock in 2006 following the acquisition of Merrill Lynch’s investment management business. Mr. Pungello had been with Merrill Lynch since 1998. Prior to that, Mr. Pungello was a Partner with Deloitte & Touche in their securities and investment company practices. He started with Deloitte in 1979. Mr. Pungello has a BBA in Accounting from Fordham University and an MBA from New York University.

Prior to joining BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation’s former advisor in 2008, Mr. Paredes served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Porter Novelli, Inc., an Omnicom Group Inc. agency and a global public relations firm with 17 North American offices and a network of nearly 100 international offices.
While at Porter Novelli, Inc., Mr. Paredes was responsible for the legal affairs of the firm, including commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, employment and labor law, advertising and marketing law, intellectual property law, government contracts, and corporate compliance. Mr. Paredes was also responsible for the development of many of the firm's policies involving ethics, business conduct, and best practices.
Before joining Porter Novelli, Inc., Mr. Paredes was with the law firms of Spitzer & Feldman P.C. and Beckman, Millman & Sanders LLP, where he practiced corporate, securities and investment management law.
Mr. Paredes is admitted to the Bars of the States of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Paredes received his B.A. (Economics) from Hobart College and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He has served as a Trustee of the Rye Country Day School, as well as President of the Rye Country Day School Alumni Executive Board.
Mr. Dashiell is a Managing Director at BlackRock's US Private Capital Group where he is responsible for originating, structuring and managing new middle market investments. Mr. Dashiell is a member of BlackRock's US Private Capital Group's ("USPC") investment committee.
Before joining Blackrock, Mr. Dashiell served as a Managing Director at Ares Management where he was responsible for originating, underwriting and structuring private debt investments for Ares. Prior to joining Ares in 2010, he was a Senior Associate at Allied Capital, where he was responsible for both debt and equity financings. Prior to that, Mr. Dashiell was an Associate in the Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Securities, focused on mergers and acquisitions and debt financings. He joined Bank of America as a Credit Analyst in 2001.
Mr. Dashiell is a CFA Charterholder and earned a B.S. in Finance and French from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
Mr. DiPaolo is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. He is a Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst focused on middle market performing loans and special situations largely in the US. Mr. DiPaolo heads industry coverage for building products, transportation, industrial services, agriculture and engineering and construction. He has been at BlackRock and its predecessor, Tennenbaum Capital Partners, since 1999. Prior to his current role, Mr. DiPaolo was the firm's Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for building Tennenbaum's financial reporting, processes and controls and operating infrastructure.
Preceding Tennenbaum, Mr. DiPaolo was Vice President at Trust Company of the West, spent seven years at Arthur Andersen as a Business Advisory and Consulting Manager and began his career in 1989, spending five years at May Department Stores as a profit improvement specialist and control division accountant.
Mr. DiPaolo earned a B.S. from the University of California, Riverside and is a CPA in the State of California.
Mr. Donohue is a member of BlackRock's Global Credit Platform covering multiple industries including media, restaurants and shipping.
Mr. Donohue was a Managing Director at Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP) when it was acquired by BlackRock in 2018.
Prior to TCP, Mr. Donohue held various roles within GE Capital's Media and Telecom group from 2000 to 2006.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Real Mex Restaurants, EuroSeas, EuroDry and Blue Wall Shipping.
Mr. Donohue earned a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A from Yale.
Mr. Kronfeld is a member of BlackRock's Global Credit Platform, where he focuses on special situations and distressed investments as well as opportunities in rescue financing, private credit, direct lending, litigation finance, complex credit, and secondary markets. Mr. Kronfeld helps manage special situations strategies in BlackRock's U.S. Private Credit Group as well as workouts and restructurings across BlackRock Alternative Investors (BAI). He also serves on Global Credit's Credit Oversight Committee.
Mr. Kronfeld has over 24 years' experience with a strong record of success in special situations and distressed investing across the capital structure, in both public and private markets. Prior to joining BlackRock as part of its acquisition of Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP), he was a managing director at TCP and a partner/portfolio manager at Plymouth Lane Capital where he launched and led the firm's credit/distressed strategies. Before Plymouth Lane, Mr. Kronfeld was a managing director at BlueMountain Capital and a partner at Owl Creek Asset Management. Mr. Kronfeld has led numerous ad hoc and official creditor committees in corporate, municipal, and sovereign restructurings in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
Before his career in finance, Mr. Kronfeld practiced law as a bankruptcy lawyer and litigator. Mr. Kronfeld also served as a prosecutor in New York City, where he investigated and prosecuted serious felony cases involving, among other things, complex white-collar crime, organized crime and murder, achieving a 100% jury trial conviction rate.
Mr. Kronfeld is a frequent guest speaker, author, lecturer, and conference panelist on topics in distressed investing, bankruptcy, restructuring, and the credit markets. As an adjunct professor at Boston University School of Law, Mr. Kronfeld teaches a course in Financial Restructuring. In addition, Mr. Kronfeld serves as a lecturer at Columbia Business School where he teaches advanced distressed investing and corporate restructuring. Mr. Kronfeld is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute where he served as a member of the advisory committee for ABI's Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11, which submitted its 2015 Report to the United States Congress.
Mr. Kronfeld earned his MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business and his JD from Boston University School of Law where he was an Edward F. Hennessey Scholar. He received his B.A. (Dean's List) from the State University of New York at Albany.
Mr. Leitner is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform and Co-Head of Direct Lending and TCP's Special Situations investment practice. He is responsible for co-leading the platform, originating and executing investment opportunities, maintaining relationships with key deal sources, corporates and intermediaries across the US, and is a permanent member of its Voting Committee across all funds and strategies.
Prior to its acquisition by Blackrock, Mr. Leitner was a Managing Partner at Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP), a member of its Management Committee, and a past Chairman of the Investment Committee for all fund vehicles and strategies. TCP with its more than $9 billion in committed capital was acquired by BlackRock in 2018. Prior to joining TCP in 2005, Mr. Leitner served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for WilTel Communications, and before that as President and Chief Executive Officer for GlobeNet Communications, leading the company through a successful turnaround and sale. Previously, he was Vice President of Corporate Development, as well as head of Global Data Center and Colocation Services for 360networks and served as Senior Director of Corporate Development for Microsoft Corporation, managing corporate investments and acquisitions in the telecommunications, media, managed services and enterprise software sectors. Prior to Microsoft, he was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Leitner has served on numerous public and private company boards, and currently serves as a Director on the board of Avanti plc, Tillman Infrastructure Group, and Industrial Media. Mr. Leitner received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and an M.B.A from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Levkowitz is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform and Chairman and CEO of BlackRock-TCP Capital Corp.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Levkowitz co-founded Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP), where he was a Managing Partner and Chairman of the Management Committee. TCP with its more than $9 billion in committed capital was acquired by BlackRock in 2018. Prior to co-founding TCP, Mr. Levkowitz was an attorney with Dewey Ballantine LLP, specializing in real estate and insolvencies. He has served as a Director of both public and private companies and has also served on a number of formal and informal creditor committees.
Mr. Levkowitz is actively involved in a number of philanthropic activities, particularly in educational initiatives, and serves as an executive board member for two private schools.

Jason Mehring is a Managing Director at BlackRock and the Chairman of BlackRock's US Private Capital Group's ("USPC") investment committee.
Prior to his role as Chairman of the USPC investment committee, Mr. Mehring was Vice Chairman. Jason focuses on the team's origination, underwriting and monitoring of middle market private investments, including those made on behalf of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation ("BCIC"), a US Business Development Company. BCIC offers middle-market companies flexible financing solutions to meet their current and future capital needs.
Jason has over 24 years' experience in middle market investing including his 13 years' experience with the USPC team, joining as a Managing Director at BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation's former advisor in 2005. Mr. Mehring previously spent more than ten years at Banc of America Capital Investors (BACI), an affiliate of Bank of America, Inc., in Chicago, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, becoming a Principal of the firm in 2000. At BACI, Mr. Mehring focused on mezzanine and private equity investing in middle market companies. Prior to joining BACI in 1994, he worked at Firstar Bank, a predecessor to U.S. Bank.
Mr. Mehring received a B.B.A., summa cum laude, in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Mehring's corporate board memberships have included Tandus Group, Inc., Havco Wood Products, LLC, Electrical Components International, Inc., and Gordon Brothers Finance Company, where he is currently Chairman.
Marshall Merriman, Managing Director, is a member of BlackRock's US Private Capital Group and Vice Chairman of BlackRock's US Private Capital Group's ("USPC") investment committee.
Mr. Merriman has over 30 years' experience in middle market investing including his 13 years' experience with the USPC team, joining as a Managing Director at BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation's former advisor in 2005. Prior to joining BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation's former advisor in 2005, he was a Managing Director with Harris Williams & Company, an investment bank providing mergers and acquisitions and financial advice to middle market companies in the United States and Western Europe.
During the last two years of his tenure at Harris Williams, Mr. Merriman headed the firm's Corporate Finance and Restructuring Group, which advises healthy and distressed companies seeking to raise capital or restructure their balance sheets. Prior to joining Harris Williams in 1998, Mr. Merriman was a partner at the law firm of McGuireWoods LLP, where he represented public and private companies and private equity firms in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions.

Mr. Pritchard is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. He leads BlackRock's venture lending efforts. Focused on middle market performing loans and special situations, Mr. Pritchard targets high growth, venture capital backed technology companies in the US and Europe.
He has been at BlackRock and its predecessor, TCP Capital, since 2014. Prior to his current role, Mr. Pritchard was a Managing Director with Hercules Capital. Mr. Pritchard also has worked at Wells Fargo Securities, Banc of America Securities, SG Cowen, and GE Capital.
Mr. Pritchard earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Nik Singhal, CFA, Managing Director, is a member of BlackRock's Global Credit Platform. Mr. Singhal is responsible for US Private Capital's business strategy and implementation. Additionally, Mr. Singhal focuses on portfolio construction and management for various funds and is a member of the Investment Committees for BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation (BCIC) and Middle Market Senior Fund (MMSF). He is also responsible for managing the liability structures for BCIC and MMSF, and heads investor relations for BCIC.
Prior to moving to the current role in 2016, Mr. Singhal was a Managing Director in the Financial Markets Advisory Group within BlackRock Solutions, where he provided portfolio management and advisory services to clients with a focus on corporate debt, shipping loans, consumer and esoteric ABS.
Prior to joining Blackrock in 2010, Mr. Singhal worked as a senior investment professional at HBK Capital Management in Dallas where he was responsible for originating and managing direct corporate loans and other opportunistic investments. He joined HBK in 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Singhal was a Vice President in the Fixed Income Division of Lehman Brothers in New York responsible for structuring and managing principal transactions, primarily focusing on esoteric ABS and distressed corporate debt. He joined Lehman Brothers in 1998.
Mr. Singhal earned a BS degree in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1995 and an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad in 1998.
Mr. Tseng is a member of BlackRock's Global Credit Platform. He is Co-Head of Direct Lending and TCP Special Situations and is responsible for co-leading the platform, originating and executing investment opportunities, and maintaining relationships with key deal sources and intermediaries across the US.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Tseng served on the Management Committee and was a Managing Partner at Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP). TCP managed more than $9 billion in committed capital and was acquired by BlackRock in 2018. In addition to managing the growth and build out of TCP, he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing private debt and equity investments. Prior to TCP, he worked in equity research with Credit Suisse First Boston where he initiated coverage of several public technology and business services companies. Prior to that, Mr. Tseng worked in Credit Suisse First Boston's Technology Investment Banking group and at Deutsche Banc Alex Brown. Mr. Tseng currently serves as a Director on the Boards of First Advantage, Connexity Inc., and Anacomp, Inc., and previously ITC DeltaCom.
Mr. Tseng also serves on the Board of Trustees for the California Science Center Foundation and as a Director of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Southern California.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Vig was a Managing Partner at Tennenbaum Capital Partners (TCP), where he was also Chairman of the Investment Committee and a member of the Management Committee. TCP with its more than $9 billion in committed capital was acquired by BlackRock in 2018. Prior to TCP, Mr. Vig held roles within Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets and the Structured Solutions Group at Deutsche Bank Securities from 1999 through 2006.
He currently chairs Blackrock Private Credit's Investment Committee, is a member of the Credit Oversight Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of TCPC and Edmentum. He also serves on the Los Angeles Board of the Posse Foundation.
Mr. Vig earned a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College and an M.B.A from New York University.
Mr. Worrell is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. He is a Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst focused on middle market performing loans and special situations largely in the US. Mr. Worrell heads industry coverage for consumer goods, retail, specialty finance and supports healthcare. Mr. Worrell sits on the Board of Directors for portfoilio companies in the Consumer and Healthcare industries. He has been at BlackRock and its predecessor, TCP Capital, since 2007.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Worrell was a High Yield Portfolio Manager with Mulholland Capital Advisors, where he analyzed and invested in high yield credit opportunities, capital structure arbitrage and special situations. Prior to joining Mulholland, Mr. Worrell was an Investment Manager and Vice President at a Central Asia-focused private equity fund based in Kazakhstan. Prior to working in Kazakhstan, Mr. Worrell was vice president with JP Morgan Securities and analyst with Gruss Partners.
Mr. Worrell earned an M.B.A. (Dean's List) from Columbia University in 1991.
Mr. Yuan is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform where he is responsible for originating middle market and special situation opportunities for BlackRock funds under management. Mr. Yuan sources primary and secondary opportunities from his strong relationships in capital markets and trade desks across numerous financial institutions. Mr. Yuan also has over 20 years of trading experience across the capital structure in both private and public markets.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Yuan was a Senior Trader at Societe Generale Cowen, trading for its convertible bond desk, sourcing profitable trade ideas and providing liquidity to facilitate trades for clients of the firm. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director trading convertible bonds at UBS Securities.
Mr. Yuan earned a Honors Bachelor of Science in Physics and Actuarial Science at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Johnson is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. He has been at BlackRock and its predecessor, Tennenbaum Capital Partners, since August 2017.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Johnson worked as a consultant for Windsor Capital Group, Inc., where he provided technical accounting guidance and implemented process improvements for accounting/finance functions. Prior to that, he was a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young focusing primarily on the real estate and hospitality industries.
Mr. Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Mr. Kothary is a Vice President at BlackRock. Prior to joining the US Private Capital team, Mr. Kothary was on the Corporate Development and Strategy team at BlackRock, where he was responsible for identifying and executing growth opportunities including acquisitions, strategic investments, JVs and partnerships / alliances as well as analyzing major strategic, operational and organizational issues within the firm. In this role, Kush was involved in a number of transactions including Credit Suisse’s ETF arm, MGPA and BlackRock Kelso Capital Advisors.

Mr. Lockhart is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. Prior to joining TCP in 2014, Connor was a Senior Associate at Hercules Technology Growth Capital, within the Energy Technology Group. Before Hercules, he held positions at Ennovance Capital, Fidelity Investments, and State Street Global Advisors.
Mr. Lockhart earned a B.S. from Villanova University.
Mr. Reed is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. Focused on middle market performing loans and special situations, Mr. Reed targets companies in the US and Europe.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Reed was a Senior Associate at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC from 2014 to 2018. Prior to Tennenbaum, Mr. Reed held positions at Hercules Capital, NEPC, and Putnam Investments.
Mr. Reed earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Mr. Schwartz is a member of Blackrock's Global Credit Platform. He is an investment professional focused on the direct lending and special situations credit strategies.
Prior to this, Corey was a member of BlackRock's Corporate Development team where he partnered with business leads to identify and execute transactions in support of the firm's strategic priorities. In this capacity, he was involved in BlackRock's acquisitions of Citibanamex Asset Management and Tennenbaum Capital Partners. He also previously worked at King Street Capital Management, a distressed credit hedge fund. He began his career at BlackRock in the Financial Markets Advisory group.
Mr. Schwartz earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Brown University in 2011.
Mr. Arunachalam is an Associate of BlackRock's Global Credit Platform. Prior to joining TCP in 2018, Shan was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank Securities in the Global Structured Credit, Infrastructure & Energy Team. He was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing projects and leveraged lending transactions across the renewable and conventional power, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. Prior to that, he was a Vice President – Structure Finance, Natural Resources Group at ING Capital.
Mr. Arunachalam earned a B.S. in Business Administration with Honors – Finance Concentration from Carnegie Mellon University.
Mr. Bulger is an Associate for BlackRock’s US Private Capital team. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Bulger was an investment banking analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group at Société Générale. In his prior role, Mr. Bulger was responsible for structuring, underwriting and syndicating leveraged loans to support leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations and refinancings across a variety of industries.
Mr. Bulger received a BBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Cardenas is an Associate of BlackRock's Global Credit Platform. He is an investment professional focused on the direct lending and special situations credit strategies.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Cardenas was a Credit Associate at JPMorgan Chase on the Middle Market Commercial Banking team. In his prior role, Mr. Cardenas was involved in structuring and underwriting transactions across a variety of industries. Prior to that, Mr. Cardenas was a Credit Analyst at JPMorgan Chase.

Mr. Guyton is an Associate for BlackRock’s US Private Capital team. Before joining the US Private Capital team, Mr. Guyton worked for H.I.G. WhiteHorse where he was responsible for investing in syndicated leveraged loans across a variety of industries and transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Guyton was an investment banking analyst in the Leverage Finance group at HSBC.
Mr. Guyton received a BBA in Finance and Strategy & Management Consulting from Emory University’s Goizeuta Business School.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Miles was a Credit Analyst at J.P. Morgan within the Diversified Industrials Group. In his prior role he built financial models for acquisitions and various forms of debt financing, assisted with capital structuring for publicly-traded and private sponsor-owned clients, and performed due diligence for M&A transactions, bond offerings, and various debt refinancings.
Miles Jackson earned a BS degree in Commerce with a Finance Concentration from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
Mr. Nellis is an Associate at BlackRock. Before joining the US Private Capital team, Mr. Nellis was an Associate at RBC Capital Markets in the Leveraged Finance Group. In his prior role, Mr. Nellis was responsible for structuring, underwriting, and arranging leveraged loans and high yield bonds to support leveraged buyouts, corporate acquisitions and other leveraging transactions across a variety of industries.
Mr. Nellis graduated with honors with a degree in Mathematics and Economics from Grinnell College.
Mr. Norman received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Mr. Phung is an Associate in BlackRock's Private Credit Group. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2018, Mr. Phung was an associate in Tennenbaum Capital Performing Credit & Special Situations group. Prior to this, Mr. Phung was an Analyst in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey, where he was involved in special situations and complex restructurings across the capital structure. Prior to that, Mr. Phung was a Senior Consultant with FTI Consulting, specializing in corporate turnarounds and operational improvement.
Mr. Phung graduated from Boston College in 2014 with a degree in Finance & Accounting.
Mr. Tieu is an Associate in BlackRock's Private Credit Group. Prior to joining TCP in 2017, Mr. Tieu was as an Associate in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey where he was involved in restructurings, recapitalizations and special situation transactions across various industries. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Tieu interned at Osprey Capital Partners.
Mr. Tieu earned a B.A. in Business Administration (Ivey Scholar) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Ximena is an Analyst in BlackRock’s Private Credit Group. Prior to joining the team in 2019 through BlackRock’s Analyst Program, Ximena interned at Blackstone in their Hedge Fund Solutions group and in Financial Services Audit at Ernst & Young.
Ximena earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Southern California.
