Laurence D. Paredes Esq.
Laurence D. Paredes is the Corporate Secretary of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation. He also serves as Corporate Secretary of BlackRock TCP Capital Corporation, BlackRock Direct Lending Corp. and BlackRock Private Credit Fund. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2008, Mr. Paredes served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Porter Novelli, Inc., an Omnicom Group Inc. agency. Before joining Porter Novelli, Inc., Mr. Paredes was with the law firms of Spitzer & Feldman P.C. and Beckman, Millman & Sanders LLP. Mr. Paredes received a B.A. (Economics) from Hobart College and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He has previously served as a Trustee of The Frederick Gunn School and Rye Country Day School.
