Mr. Kless is aManaging Director at BlackRock where he is responsible for originating, structuring and managing new middle market investments for the US Private Capital Group. Before coming to Blackrock in 2011, Mr. Kless was a Principal at Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity, the private equity arm of Merrill Lynch & Co., which he joined in 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Kless was with the mergers & acquisitions group within Merrill Lynch's investment banking division. Mr. Kless began his career in 1999 as an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett focusing on mergers & acquisitions for financial sponsors.
Mr. Kless earned a BA degree in history with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 and a JD with highest honors from the George Washington University Law School in 1999.
